Fire & Non-Fire Rated Wooden Doors Manufacturer

Vulcan offers both fire-rated and non-fire-rated wooden doors designed for use in residential and commercial applications. These doors are suitable for single as well as paired configurations and are primarily used for interior purposes.
Various species of hardwoods and veneers are utilized to provide distinct finishes to the doors, while alternative finishes such as laminate and paint are also viable options.

Features

Frames are constructed using solid hardwood with a density ranging from 600kg – 800kg/m³, depending on the fire rating and specific requirements. For fire-rated doors, frames are equipped with intumescent protection. Frames can be polished and painted to meet aesthetic preferences and design specifications.

Fire-rated shutters are constructed using tested and certified materials such as 3-layered Particle Chip Boards, 5 Ply Proprietary Blanks, and Composite Blanks. Non-fire-rated shutters, on the other hand, can be made with Hollow Core, Solid Chip Board, or Semi-Solid door blanks.
The door thickness for non-fire-rated shutters ranges from 35mm to 44mm, while for fire-rated shutters, it varies from 44mm to 64mm depending on the fire rating requirements.
Shutter finishes include options such as wood veneered and polished, laminated, and painted.

Fire-rated/tested hardware complying with UL/ANSI, BS/CE standards can be accommodated.

Fire Rated Wooden Doors

We’ve been making wooden doors in the UAE since 1995, and fire-rated wooden doors have been our flagship product for most of that time. Every door that leaves our Dubai factory is built to the same construction whether it’s going into a five-star hotel suite or a hospital corridor — the only thing that changes is the finish.

The range:

  • 30-minute fire-rated wooden doors (FD30) — for back-of-house, residential corridors and lower-risk compartmentation.
  • 60-minute fire-rated wooden doors (FD60) — the most common spec on UAE commercial and hospitality projects. Single and double leaf, with or without vision panels.
  • 90 and 120-minute fire-rated wooden doors (FD90 / FD120) — for stairwells, service shafts, plant rooms and critical fire-separation walls.
  • Acoustic fire-rated doors — fire performance plus 35-44 dB sound reduction for hotel rooms, conference rooms and meeting suites.
  • Architectural (non-fire-rated) wooden doors — for guest rooms, offices and residences where fire rating is not a code requirement but finish quality is.

Certifications you can hand to the consultant:

Every fire-rated wooden door we manufacture is tested to BS 476 Part 22 and certified for use under the UAE Fire and Life Safety Code of Practice. We carry Civil Defence approvals for Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ajman, and our test reports are issued through accredited UKAS and Emirates International Accreditation Centre (EIAC) laboratories. Submittal packs are pre-formatted to the way UAE MEP and architectural consultants want to receive them.

Finishes:

Veneer (oak, walnut, sapele, teak, ash, maple), HPL, laminate, paint-grade primer ready for site spray, or factory-applied PU lacquer in any RAL or NCS reference. Vision panels in clear or wired Pyroguard glass to match the door’s fire rating.

Hardware:

We supply the door as a complete pre-hung assembly with frame, hinges, lockset, closer and seals — all certified for use with the door at its rated performance level. Our standard hardware partners are Dorma, Assa Abloy and GEZE.

Lead time and pricing:

Standard FD60 single-leaf doors with veneer finish typically run 4–5 weeks from approved shop drawings. Pricing depends on rating, finish, ironmongery and quantity — door schedules over 100 leaves get factory-direct pricing. Send your door schedule (or a draft BOQ) and we’ll send back a costed proposal within 48 hours.
